A DESTINATION

The Downtown Neighborhood Association represents the residents, businesses, and non-profit organizations in downtown Richmond, VA. We are home to the galleries and institutions of the city’s Arts District, renowned restaurants, independently-owned boutiques and shops, and hundreds of newly renovated residential units. The DNA proudly presents the First Fridays Art Walk on the first Friday of every month, and Broad Appétit, the city’s largest food festival, on the first Sunday in June.

OUR MISSION

Our mission is to retain and expand the residential and business base, improve the appearance and perception of our neighborhood, and to cooperate with other community resources and agencies to ensure an adequate voice and representation for those we serve.

RVA First Fridays

Today is First Friday, and it is a good metaphor for this past week and all the work ahead for the @richmondartsdistrict to truly support our community in solidarity with those protesting and fighting for Black lives, Black businesses, and how to build a better world now. Spaces may be boarded up, but do not mistake that behind and on each board there is vitality, a story, life and love.

We have missed being able to host the monthly Art Walk, but there are still many, many ways to support Historic Jackson Ward and the Arts District and any business/restaurant/gallery/community center/arts organization downtown. Will be sharing here ❤️
